Becoming a 7 summiteer

On the summit of Carstensz Pyramid - #7 of the 7

I am immensely proud to say that I am now officially a 7 summiteer!!

The 13th British female amongst around 750 climbers worldwide and £45,000 raised for Place2Be - happy with that.

I have so much to say but for now, given that we have had almost constant rain since arriving at base camp, we had the most glorious day yesterday (21/3/25) and our small team all stood on the summit of Carstensz Pyramid at 7.45am.

Mission accomplished!

Plot twist yesterday in that the generator died hence the 24 hr delay in comms and it is yet again raining so we are still at base camp. Hopefully the sun will shine and the clouds will lift for us tomorrow to get back to Timika, as much for us as for our amazing local team who have been here for nearly a month. It’s time for them to go home too.
