International Women’s Day.
Kilimanjaro.
My 55th birthday.
Sunday 8 March 2026 - a day and an expedition I will always remember.

Not just because it was my 38th expedition on Kilimanjaro as UK leader.

Not just because I stood on the summit alo

It’s a question I’ve asked myself more than once.

At 38, it nudged me out of a perfectly stable career and into the great unknown.

It nudged me up the Seven Summits.
